Kia Ora - Welcome

So I have been in New Zealand now for 2 days. And even though it's only been a short time I can already say that I feel at home here. It's weird to think that I am on the other side of the world. It took a long time getting here... about 20+ hours. Two plane rides: the first was Toronto to LA which was 5 hours, stoppped in LA for 3 hours, then the second flight was LA to Auckland and that was 13.3 hours. I watched alot of movies on the second flight;
-"The Yellow Handcrerchief" (3 out of 5, stars Kristen Stewart and yes she licked her lips more times then I could count)
-"Clash of the Titans" (2 out of 5, for what I saw of it... i fell asleep half way through it but when I woke up I got the jist of it.
-"The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" (4 out of 5, awesome swedish film. Definately recommend watching it)
-"Exit throug the gift shop" (3 out of 5, doc about the the street art movement, focusing on Banksy)
-"She's out of my League" (2.5 out of 5, meh it was alright but I liked this one line "go shit in your hand" which I hope to say to someone when they're being an absolute prick.)
Anyways back to the trip. So the trek here was pretty epic. I was lucky to get the window seat on both flights, but I think for the journey home i'll request aisle seats since as my close friends already know i have a very "active" bladder, and when your seatmates fall asleep and you have to go to the washroom really badly....it can get a little awkward. So after the flight I took a bus to my hostel, where I checked in and took a nap in my bunk bed.

I have to give props to SWAP, they really helped to make my trip go smoothly. Getting everthing ready for the trip was simple. they hooked me up witha free bus ride from he airport to the hostel. I also got to free nights at a hostel, including two breakfast vuchers. The hostel I'm staying at - Base Hostels, which are all over NZ and Australia, are extremely friendly and helpful. I booked my bus ride and another two nights in a base hostel in Wellington -easy peasy. The only thing that's been a hassel has been trying to get internet. you have to pay about $5/ hour. Can't wait to me my own place.
So that's it for now. Coming up next ... my first day in Auckland
