Bus Tour - Christchurch
This is Christchurch
I stayed in Christchurch for 2 days. I stayed an extra day cause I wanted to have a full day to explore the art gallery where Ron Mueck's sculptures where on exhibit. I studied Mueck's work while I was at OCAD so it was actually amazing to see these in real life. Amazing :) The rest of the gallery was pretty cool too.
So realistic, these sculptures had such a psychological impact on you, cause you just want to connect with it but you can't.
There was a street fair going on the day i had my day excursion.
Lots of earthquake damage all over the city.
Remembrance Arch
Botanic Gardens, of course I had to visit.
Very interesting phone booth
This was like an optical illusion. It was on the side of the art gallery and I knew it was flat but it looked three dimensional.
Cool street art
This was the Base Hostel I stayed at. I slept on the top bunk and on my second night sleeping there I woke up in the middle of the night to my bed shaking. I thought it was the person in the bottom bunk either moving or doing the naughty, but I just went back to bed and thought nothing of it. It was actually an 4.3 earthquake.... at least I didn't sleep though it this time.
