Bus Tour - Westport > Lake Mahinapua (Tauranga Bay)

Westport wasn't the most amazing place, but the lodge we stayed in "Basil's" was pretty sweet. It was raining the entire time we were there, so majority of the bus sat in the tv room and watch The Fellowship of the Ring. I was so excited to watch it while other people just watched it cause it would pass 2 and a half hours. The next day was going to be our costume party so people were making their costumes.

While Kelly and I were making our costumes we were interrupted by other lodge guests who banged on our room window and asked if we were drinking tonight. Since were were already drinking we sort of just waved them off. Once we finished our drinks we went out to the common room. So the guys who were banging on our window were actually fellow Canadians. So I ended up chillin with them sharing some drinks and kiwi stories. Good times.

The next morning was a little rough but we were on the bus I think around 8am or 9am. Then it was off to Tauranga Bay



Our bus driver Ringo takes us to Tauranga Bay and kicks us off the bus in the drizzling rain.







We were all soaked within 10 minutes of walking.

This is me feeling not so good due to the fact that we were driving in zig zags and i had a bit too much to drink in Westport.
