The beginning of my trip started at YHA, which is where I was to be picked up from by the big green Kiwi Experience bus. I packed the night before and was actually really gutted packing. I had gotten so comfortable in Wellington that it was hard to leave. But knowing what was to come I was also excited to see the rest of the country. The morning started early and Jamal, dropped me off. I really did not want to have to carry all my luggage from the other side of Mount Victoria. That would be a nightmare.
So the bus arrived and drove us to the ferry. Then from ferry it was a long bus ride to Nelson.
The Interislander. My early morning ride.
Goodbye Wellington...until we meet again in a couple of weeks.
Cheers North Island.
Kia ora South Island.
Picton.
My new ride for the next month.
Vineyard. If only I could get some of that wine for this long ass bus ride.
yep....dinner.
A sweet look at Nelson from the center of NZ.
If u haven't already found me... I'm one of the tall ones in the back.
apparently this was the first place in the south island where rugby was first played.
yay Ajax!
Once arriving at the lodge, which was called The Prince Albert (Fern Lodge)...hehehe, we were invited to do some beer testing.
surprisingly yum.
blah!
I think this one was good.
This one not so good either.
After beer tasting I decided to venture into Nelson and have some fun with my Nikon.
